Sometimes you can find an outfit that ultimately optimizes your body proportion, in this example, it’s all about how to elongate your legs. There are 8 tips highlighted below that you might want to try out.
- Pay attention to the dressing proportion. 1:1 proportion shortens your leg visually. So your top shouldn’t have the same length as your skirt or trousers. In this look, I have 1:2. you can also try 2:3 or 3:5 for example.
- Horizontal straight lines break up the space. Using it wrongly could make your legs look shorter. The waist line of this skirt is actually higher than my waist, so it makes my legs appear longer.
- I’m a small hourglass, which has diagonal lines, and this skirt has lots of diagonal lines which goes really well with my body shape.
- The vertical lines on the front side of the skirt elongate my legs.
- This diagonal waist drape gives me a more defined waist.
- Wear pumps. Visually they work better than platform shoes.
- A quarter sleeve top brings up your body, and makes your legs look longer.
- Turn your phone upside down when taking a full body shot.
